High-Effort Wall Posters

Neil Dempster will wow your audience!A major ingredient of any successful culture shift is the amount of reinforcement people receive both during and after any intervention.

These high-effort wall posters were designed to be displayed in areas where employees will be constantly reminded of the behavioral components of a performance culture. Each poster represents messages contained within the People Management Essentials workshop.

Each poster displayed in the slide-show viewer (below) offers a brief description of the main themes found within the poster. You may want to consider using these messages and themes as informal coaching opportunities when appropriate.

Change is Inevitable!
  • Change is Inevitable!

    Poster #1 Main Themes:

    • While change is inevitable, adaptability is optional. It is up to each of us—individually—to decide to adapt.

    • Competencies are constantly challenged by change. Are we growing (learning) as change is happening around us?

  • Effort is NOT a Dimmer Switch

    Poster #2 Main Themes:

  • Inch by Inch, Everything's a Cinch

    Poster #5 Main Themes:

    Poster #6 Main Themes:

    • Because our actions speak louder than words. we need to be aware that people are forming opinions about us based on our actions ... not on what we say.

    • Ask yourself, "How would the person I would like to be do what I'm about to do?

  • Listen and Life Will Teach!

    Poster #7 Main Themes:

    • How would your organization be different (better) if the first line in everyone's job description was "You need to be incrementally better tomorrow than you are today."

    • Ask, "What was your greatest learning experience (either good or bad) during your day, today? Who can you share that new knowledge with?"

  • You Determine Your Limits!

    Poster #8 Main Themes:

  • Think/Plan/Commit

    Poster #9 Main Themes:

    • The TPC process helps an employee develop critical thinking and problem solving skills. Never underestimate the power of 'asking.'

    • Try the TPC process when using the Step It! worksheet. Combined, these two tools engage the employee and make for a great coaching outcome.

  • Effortticket

    Poster #10 Main Themes:

    • The Effort Ticket is a demonstration of the employee's willingness to put out the QUANTITY of effort necessary before your coaching can begin.
